Case 1:

Problem List

• rotated upper right lateral incisor was an eye-sore for the patient - general colour of teeth too yellow
• impacted adult upper canines (retained upper primary canines)
• unable to tolerate orthodontics

Solution List

• since unable to tolerate orthodontics, surgical removal of impacted canines
• extraction of primary canines and tissue molding using provisional bridges from laterals to first premolars
• bleaching using custom nightguard bleaching trays and 10% carbamide peroxide
• cementation of permanent zirconia bridges on laterals to first premolars

Problem list

• root canal treated upper central incisors from past trauma - generalised tetracycline staining or hypoplasia
• yellow shade of teeth generally
• desired "whitening" of smile
• financial considerations

Solution list

• Bleaching using custom nightguard bleaching with 10% carbamide peroxide
• Porcelain (Lithium Disilicate) crowns for upper central incisors
• Direct, layered composite veneers for upper lateral incisors and canines

• Fractured upper right central incisor from an accident in a young person (16 years old)

Solution

• Direct layered composite resin restoration (one appointment)

• enamel fracture of lower incisor from tooth vs. fork incident - young patient (18 years old)

Solution

• reproduction of the natural incisal translucency using direct layered composite bonding (one appointment)

• enamel-dentin fracture of central incisor from hockey accident
