    Thursday & Friday Lecture
Adhesion Theory: History, Science and Clinical Applications.
We begin with a comprehensive lecture on everything you need to know about adhesion. This is the base from which we will build the entire weekend experience. Aesthetic Dentistry Philosophies: What is Minimally Invasive Dentistry? Using scientific evidence, we will thoroughly explain how you should develop your treatment philosophies.

    Impression Techniques.
As digital impressions revolutionized our profession, many dentists continue to struggle with the now “Old Fashioned” PVS impression. But no system can cover all the bases and analog impressions are still part of our routine. When everyone is saying move to digital, we say do so, but don’t forget that digital has a steep learning curve as well. Suffering through impression taking should not be part of your schedule. Enough is enough. Let’s get good at it. The objective of this part of the course is to develop the following abilities in students: To review the different forms of tissue expansion techniques in existence. To understand their pros, cons, and indications.

From single tooth to full mouth rehabilitations, provisional is under appreciated. How many times are you going to have to bring your patient back to fix a provisional because it came out of it fractured? How many times are you going to let the patient walk out of the clinic with a provisional that you know does not look great? Well… enough is enough. It is time to discuss and practice how to properly provisionalize your patients for your own peace of mind. The objective of this part of the course is to develop the following abilities in students:
    • The development and understanding of the role of mock-up from the wax up to the mouth.
    • Silicone key fabrication and management.
    • Soft tissue considerations and precautions.
    • The learning and improvement of the necessary techniques for the temporization in many clinical schemes for laminate veneers.

    Full Cementation Process and Techniques.
If you believe that delivery of restorations is just as simple as cementing, it then we have a lot to show you. During this lecture we will give you so many tips and scientific tricks of the delivery process that your mind will be blown.

    Saturday Workshop
Minimally Invasive Dentistry: Aiming for Longevity
Time to prep! This is a hands-on course, so let’s get prepping. A recurrent theme of all my courses is science. This time, we will use science to define how we should prep anterior teeth for minimally invasive restorations.

Hands on: Tooth Preparations for Veneers with One-on-One Coaching.
The Hands-On component of the course is at it’s peak. Now, and until the end of the day, we will focus on prepping by using all the scientific reasons learned. You will have One to One time with Dr. De Carvalho to discuss all your preps, designs, or any other questions you might have. To understand that the use of laminate veneers must be interpreted as a complex oral rehabilitation. The development of facial analysis, and customization of the ideal smile by using a sequenced scientifically based approach.
    • To understand the importance of dental photography for the development of a photographic protocol for digital planning in aesthetic dentistry.
    • The development and understanding of the role of mock-up from the wax up to the mouth.
    • Demonstration & Hands-on for the silicone key ( Professor), veneer cementation and teeth preparation.
    • The learning and reproducibility from basic to advanced preparation techniques, The Scientifically Designed Veneer by Carlos de Carvalho.
    • The most updated literature regarding bonding, substrate and porcelain adhesion treatment protocol.
    • The learning and improvement of the necessary techniques for the implementation of laminate veneers.
    • The Scientifically Designed Veneer Diagnosis • When to consider ceramic veneers.
    • Selection of porcelain and laboratory technique of laminate veneers.
