Mission Statement

Our goal is to facilitate excellence in the art and science of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Its function is to promote Ethical and Evidence-Based Techniques in Cosmetic Dentistry i.e. the optimal integration of art to the science of dentistry whilst both fulfilling the aesthetic expectations of the patient and maximising Oral Function whilst considering biological cost and/or periodontal health.

The NZACD Executive Committee is not personally directly liable but is responsible for the following:

  • Have supervision, direction and control of the affairs of the NZACD.
  • Determine NZACD policies, and be accountable for NZACD assets.

The NZACD prides itself on having its members conduct themselves with the highest standards of integrity and ethics.

Applicants for membership will be required to sign a statement upon application, and members are required to sign a reaffirmation of agreement to these provisions on an annual basis.

Terms of Membership are for a fixed period of 12 months (1st June thru to 31st May).  After the fixed period the website will notify you of your due subscription roll over to continue indefinitely until 3 months’ notice of cancellation is given in writing. Notice may be given by emailing [email protected] and a confirmation email will be sent for your records. For your convenience, your credit card information will not be stored on the NZACD website but will be automatically engaged to renew annual subscriptions until a request for cancellation is received.

Continuing Professional Development

The NZACD provides lectures to the dental industry and dental profession via acquisition of educators, both foreign and domestic. Its mission involves the sharing and dissemination of knowledge via regional physical and digitally-based study groups and the fostering of collegiality of fellow members.

CPD is granted by NZDA and provided to each attendee following lectures and it is the attendees’ responsibility to apply to NZDA for their continuing education programme.

The NZACD wishes to ensure, that accurate information is provided to the meeting participants, in respect to the speakers’ lecture topics, employment, consultancy, patients held, personal interest in companies, products, techniques or any other matters, which may be included in the speakers’ presentation.

The NZACD accepts no responsibility for their speakers’ lecture content and need to use professional judgment to address the validity and usefulness of techniques, materials or therapeutic products to their own practice.

It is the attendees’ responsibility to personally sign the NZDA Attendance Sheet provided prior to Academy lectures or study group meetings.

Cancellation Policy

In the event you need to cancel your registration for q lecture, you may do so for a full refund if you inform us of your cancellation at least 14 working days before the start of the lecture. 50% of the fee will be charged for cancellation within 13 to 7 working days prior to the start date of the program. No refund will be made for cancellations within 7 working days or "no-shows”.


The NZACD accepts no responsibility if a ‘Speaker’ is unable to show for an event due to unforeseen circumstances or Acts of God, but will endeavour to make an effort to act reasonably in the transfer of paid monies after deduction of necessary Corporate expenses to the credit of the member in question for future events.

It will be the decision of the NZACD to cancel any seminar if due to weather, airline cancellations, mechanical failure of airline equipment, airline strikes, or any other acts of God, it becomes impossible for the Speaker to reach final destination in time to present the seminar.

All lectures to be pre-paid prior to a lecture date
All Academy lectures are quoted gst inclusive.
