TOPIC: The Evolution of Digital Implant Dentistry: From DEXIS Scanning to Navigate and Robotics.
VENUE: NZDA House, 1/195 Main Highway, Ellerslie, Auckland 1051
SYNOPSIS:
An introduction to some of the technological advances that are changing the way implant dentistry is planned and delivered. We’ll follow the evolution of the digital workflow from DEXIS scanning and DTX Implant Studio, through to X-Guide dynamic navigation, and then look at the development of robotic technology in implant surgery. The lecture will provide an overview of these technologies, how they fit together, and how the rapid progression from digital planning to navigation and robotics is likely to influence the way dental implants are placed in the future.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Understand the role of digital scanning and planning in modern implant workflows.
2. Become familiar with DEXIS scanning and DTX Implant Studio.
3. Understand the concept and clinical workflow of X-Guide dynamic navigation.
4. Explore how dynamic navigation has contributed to the development of robotic implant surgery.
5. Gain an appreciation of the current and future role of technology in implants dentistry.
6. Understand how these technological developments may change the way implant surgery is performed in the years ahead.
